How to Reserve a Court

WPTC members may reserve courts in advance.   Here’s how to do it…

Click the green “Reserve a Court” button just to your right, or select the About Our Facility >> Reserve a Court menu item.  Either will take you to a screen on the Winnetka Park District website showing today’s availability:

Scrolling down will display availability for Courts 2-6.  To search for a court on a future date, click on the gray date box to choose a date from a calendar pop-up which looks like this:

Select the day on which you’re looking for a court on the calendar.

Leave the number of players and court selections as they are, then press the “Search” button. This will bring up a list of unreserved half hour blocks of court time matching your parameters.

I’ve shown results for just one court here, but there will be a similar box showing results for courts 2-6. If nothing good comes back, you can change your search parameters and try again.

If you see a court time you like, select it by clicking on the 30 minute increments you want.  If you want to reserve more than 30 minutes, you’ll need to click on multiple time slots.  Make sure they’re continuous on the same court!   As you do select time slots, you’ll see the times you’ve selected highlighted in blue, as well as a message at the bottom of the screen asking you to add them to your cart.

When you’re done selecting all the 30 minute blocks you need (a member can reserve up to 2 hours in one day), click the “Add to Cart” button.  If you aren’t already logged into the Winnetka Park District site, you’ll be asked to sign in with your Winnetka Park District username and password.

Click the “Login” button. If the Park District knows more than one member of your family, you’ll be asked which person is reserving the court, then click the “Add to Cart” button.

That will bring you to a review screen that looks like this.  Court time is free for WPTC members (you should see $0 as your total), but non-members may also reserve courts for a fee.

Click “Proceed to Checkout” to make your reservation.

Finally, you’ve gotten to the checkout counter.

If you’re a WPTC member, the “Summary of Charges” area will probably be filled with a bunch of zeros.  If you’re a non-member, the cost of the court time you reserved should appear here.

In the Billing Information box, confirm your first & last name, home phone, and email address, then click the “Continue” button to reserve your court.  If you are a WPTC member, your credit card will not be charged despite what this page says…

When you click “Continue”, the Winnetka Park District will email a confirmation of your reservation to you, and display the following page.  You’re done, unless you want to send an email confirmation to someone else!
